Making an impact on the lives of Southern California’s brightest minds is an important way I strive to set a positive example in my community through motivational speaking.
This month I had the pleasure of speaking at the Youth Citizenship Seminar at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. My audience was not however, college students, but instead it was high school juniors enrolled in a five day program designed to inspire their community involvement. The program offers fully funded scholarships and is a fantastic leadership personal growth experience for the students enrolled in the program.
Think Decide Act
My keynote speaker motivational message to “Think, Decide and Act” is something high school students ready to embark on their college years can really put to good use. As they move away from home and face the challenges of adulthood, they will be bombarded with opportunities to Think, Decide and Act.
What tools will they use to think in a way that is productive not only for themselves but for their communities? What decisions will they make that will impact their lives and their fellow student body? What actions will they take that will forever set their lives on a course in one direction or another?
It is always an honor to be asked to speak publicly, but especially so when it allows me the opportunity to impact my community’s youth in a positive way. At the Youth Citizenship Seminar I was in good company with other featured speakers Scott McKain, Bruce Herschensohn, and the well loved two time heavyweight champion of the world George Foreman (pictured above).
PUBLIC SPEAKING
As a motivational public speaker I enjoy connecting and sharing my message, but as a father I realize the importance of this adolescent age and being a positive role model with a message for success. Our children need guidance to “Think, Decide and Act” in ways that build a strong foundation for their future and the future of our community at large.
